Mattersons Ltd is one of the oldest companies in Coventry, dating back to the mid 1750's when we operated from a site in Coventry City Centre. Over the years we became known for our reliable and efficient service and we still work hard today to live up to the company motto of Service Is Our Strength.

We currently hold over 800 tonnes of mild steel at our Kingfield Road site where we have a number of saws capable of cutting all of your steel requirements including sheet steel. Our newly refurbished trade showroom is equipped to supply the requirements of the Trade Industry from eager DIY'ers to specified trades such as plumbing, construction and engineering. The extensive range of mild steel coupled with our processing facilities and trade business means that Mattersons have everything to be your One Stop Shop. Our transport department work hard to support all of this by delivering any stock item on a next working day basis and they can even offer a same day service for those jobs that just can't wait.

The range of products and services that we offer were given a boost when we joined the Barrett Steel Group of companies which are one of the country's leading steel stockholders. The group consists of over 25 general steel depots along with specialist sites for Tubes, Precision Tubes, Engineering Bar and Profiling holding in excess of 80,000 tonnes of stock. With all of our sites having cutting capability and several of them housing shotblasting and priming plant the Barrett Group offers large stocks and high levels of service across the country.

Our new Omega Steel site specialising in the processing of structural sections represents a £6 million investment in some of the most technologically advanced machinery available today operated by the most highly skilled workforce the industry has to offer. We have also added a Jumbo Laser Tube cutting machine, which is the largest one in the country and the only one able to cut tubes over 550 mm wide and 18 m long, to the existing three laser tube machines at our specialist Tubes site.

A combination of our local knowledge and the backing of a large group means we have the experience, the people and operational infrastructure to drive forward expectations of what service a stockholder can provide.
